Less than a month ago Nanny was diagnosed with oral fibrosarcoma. Doc removed the tumor once but it came back with a vengeance. We've had a glorious time with her these last few weeks. But we decided that it's time that she would be better going to the bridge. So on Monday, we plan to take her in to see doc and say our goodbyes. She's having a hard time eating and the tumors bleed. She doesn't like it. She's trying to please us but... -

And soon it will be a new year already! The older I get, the faster the time goes. And I really wish it could slow down at least for a little while since my Nanny dog won't be with us much longer. I hope she can make it at least until Christmas but don't want her to be in pain either just so that I can have more time with her. We will see how she does as the time passes.

Been quite awhile since I've added anything to my blog. I look at my pics and see snow that Sam and Nanny are romping in and thinking to myself that I'll be seeing that white stuff before I know it. Geesh how the summer goes so fast it seems. And then we really didn't get much of a summer to begin with. Sure hope winter doesn't come too fast.

Oh how my body aches from the rain. Darn fibro always acts up and the meds just don't seem to help that much. But I am happy to see this kind of moisture. Just a nice sprinkle for the garden and flowers. Everything seems to be coming up just fine in the garden. And I have strawberries this year - yea!

I finally have the garden planted - whew! Al needs to plant his corn. (I wasn't going to put any in since our farm neighbors give us all we want). I'm seeing some of my veggies that were planted earlier coming up already which just makes me so happy. There's just something about seeing what you have labored and nurtured over make it's showing. I think the freeze we had a month ago raised some havoc with a few of my flowers and bushes. A couple of my rose... -

I think Spring is here for good now and I just hope we don't get flukey weather because I said that out loud - lol. I've planted most of my veggie garden and put a few new flowers in. My tulips and daffodils are in bloom and everything is getting green again. My fruit trees have started to blossom also.
Sam and Nanny love to be outside and we spend alot of time out in the yard - they play, I dig in the dirt. Well, we do have some awesome soccer matches... -

Just getting cabin fever I guess. My poor Nanny and Sammy want me to go outside to play and I don't want to - lol - brrrrr- too cold. But I grin and bear it just for the furkids. I will be glad to see Spring come. I spend alot of time outside when it's warm, doing my gardening and messing around in the yard. Happy days will soon be here I hope! -

I'm a breast cancer survivor and it's been 5 years since I had my mastectomy. I never regret having my boobs cut off - lol - because I'm still here to see my husband, kids, grandkids, great-grandson, and soon to be great-granddaughter (we think). And I could never be without my Rotties, Sam and Nanny. And since I had reconstruction which they'll never be like the real girls, my doc did let me get them bigger than I had so I can always be happy about that too. What...
